Paramedics and officers attended an incident involving a bus on Kingsland Road in the Hoxton district of London on Wednesday, February 25, in the early hours before 8am.

Emergency crews reached the location where a man aged between 50 and 59 suffered knife wounds. Medical personnel treated his injuries at the scene before conveying him to hospital for further care.

Police have cordoned off the area while investigators pursue their inquiries into the assault.

So far, no one has been detained over the matter.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police indicated that officers were sent out after receiving reports of a stabbing on a bus travelling along Kingsland Road in Hoxton shortly before 8am on Wednesday, February 25.

The man, understood to be in his fifties, received emergency medical assistance at the scene for superficial wounds before being taken to hospital by the London Ambulance Service, where he continues to receive treatment.

No detentions have been made at this stage, and an investigative perimeter remains in operation as initial lines of enquiry get underway.
