A significant development proposal for Stratford has been lodged with Newham Council for assessment.

The scheme relates to premises at 1 Stratford Place and would deliver a comprehensive mixed-use development in the area.

The project involves construction spanning 17 to 23 storeys, incorporating purpose-built student accommodation alongside adaptable non-residential floor space.

Separately, multiple planning applications have been filed with Hackney Council for consideration across various locations.

At Level 10, 1 Stratford Place, Montfichet Road, reference 2026/1988 seeks approval for a mixed-use tower providing student housing and commercial areas.

At 26 Elderfield Road, reference 2026/1977 requests a non-material amendment to alter window colours and materials.

A lawful development certificate is sought at 228 Lordship Road under reference 2026/1976 for proposed window modifications, rooflight works and hardstanding construction.

Single-storey rear extensions are proposed at 17 Detmold Road under reference 2026/1933.

At 69 Digby Crescent, reference 2026/1897 seeks approval to insert a rooflight into the rear roof slope under a non-material amendment to earlier permission 2025/0246.

Two separate applications relate to The Pet Shop Doreens at 40-42 Amhurst Road.

Reference 2026/1853 requests installation of illuminated signage and air conditioning equipment, while reference 2026/1852 seeks advertisement consent for the same illuminated fascia signs.

At 37 Albion Drive, reference 2026/1838 applies to vary an approved plan condition, extending the depth to 5.2 metres to accommodate a public sewer.

Linden Children’s Centre at 86-92 Rectory Road requires approval of details for a qualified tree specialist under reference 2026/1777, as required by earlier permission 2026/0089.

A redevelopment variation is proposed at 75 Marian Court, Link Street under reference 2026/1661, seeking to modify conditions attached to permission 2017/5024 as amended by 2026/0371.
