The annual showcase for urban image capture will open in East London over the coming days.
The capital’s street photography gathering is scheduled to run from Friday through Sunday, with dates set for August 28-30.
The venue for the three-day programme is The Heath Studio, situated in the E3 2NX area.
Admission to the event carries no charge, with attendees able to access an extensive schedule of presentations, discussions, and displays.
Among the highlights of this year’s showcase are the shortlisted entries for the LSPF 2026 competition, spanning four distinct divisions: individual images, sequential photographic narratives, metropolitan scenes, and work by photographers aged under 21.
A collection of curated presentations will also be available, featuring creations from established image-makers Jens Olof Lasthein and Ania Klosek.
Lasthein will bring forward his award-winning undertaking titled Moments in Between, a visual chronicle documenting settings across the former Yugoslav territories prior to, throughout, and following the regional conflicts of the 1990s.
Klosek will exhibit her output as part of the Ukraine Project, an exploration of Ukrainian civilian existence encompassing the transitional and unsettled circumstances influenced by swift societal, financial, and governmental transformations spanning the years 2015 to 2025.
A dedicated publication hub will operate throughout the gathering, stocking titles from major publishing houses alongside independently produced works.
Photographers attending the event may trade both publications and self-made zines within this space without incurring any transaction fees.
The presentation schedule encompasses discourse and instruction from respected practitioners including Lasthein, Klosek, Mimi Mollica, and additional guest speakers.
The competitive element of the programme will see its victors revealed on the final day, August 30, with the accompanying exhibition displaying every candidate who reached the final stage.
The London Street Photography Festival operates as a charitable worldwide initiative designed to cultivate professional connections, facilitate skill development, and provide networking prospects through displays, practical sessions, academic discussion, contests, and supplementary programming.
