Tyler, The Creator opens fictional Tube station during All Points East headline set

A Central line service disruption created significant travel difficulties for concert attendees on Saturday, yet Tyler, The Creator’s headline performance at Victoria Park featured its own underground station replica.

The Grammy-winning hip-hop artist made history by headlining two consecutive nights at All Points East, marking a first for the festival.

His entrance featured a meticulously designed replica Tube station, complete with a carriage adorned in graffiti-style artwork and a roundel displaying the park’s name in the characteristic Johnston typeface.

The east London skies illuminated during the 90-minute production, which incorporated elaborate firework displays, spectacular flame effects, and appearances by special guests A$AP Rocky and Rex Orange County.

Earlier performances on the bill included sets by Daniel Caesar, Baby Keem, and the act Dijon, building toward the headline slot.

The performer emerged in a yellow leather-style suit and cap, executing dynamic jumps and dance movements atop the replica train carriage between pyrotechnic sequences.

Daniel Caesar had earlier delivered an emotive rendition of Rain Down and the Jimmy Cliff classic Many Rivers To Cross, with the audience swaying gently during the performance.

By the time the headliner took to the stage, the crowd had been thoroughly energised and stood ready for an altogether different atmosphere.

The set commenced with tracks Big Pookie and St.

Tyler brought A$AP Rocky onstage for a collaborative performance of Who Dat Boy, during which both artists acknowledged forgetting portions of the lyrics.

During the two-night engagement, Tyler noted that Friday’s audience had lacked the vitality he preferred.

He observed that his initial record label XL Recordings operated from London and that he and Adele shared the same roster.

The preceding evening featured Rex Orange County, Turnstile, and Mariah The Scientist alongside Tyler on the bill.

All Points East 2026 spanned two weekends and featured an impressive roster of prominent artists.

Jorja Smith and Tems opened the event as initial headliners, followed by Lorde and Zara Larsson, while Deftones performed on the Sunday as part of Outbreak Fest.

Twenty One Pilots delivered their set on Sunday, August 30.

The Lido Festival, postponed from its original June date due to waterlogged ground conditions at Victoria Park, proceeded on Bank Holiday Monday, August 31, with Maribou State as the headlining act.

As a single-day event that typically presents minimal logistical challenges, the gathering brings together performers representing various musical styles, from established figures to rising talents, and has established itself as a respected fixture within London’s vibrant music calendar.
