Dancers wowed the crowd at a celebration to welcome in the Chinese New Year.

The event took place at Pembury Community Centre in Hackney, where neighbours, families and friends gathered to mark the occasion with music, food and traditional performances.

Jun Mo Generation, a non-profit cultural arts organisation dedicated to celebrating East Asian arts, delivered a programme of traditional dances including energetic Lion and Dragon dances that moved through the audience to the steady beat of drums.

Ling Man, a resident of Pembury and member of Jun Mo Generation, said: “We wanted to create something joyful that brought people together.
